How We Find the Perfect LA Location for Any Shoot
One of the first things we think about when producing a shoot in Los Angeles is location. LA is huge, vibrant, and visually stunning — but finding a location that actually works for a shoot takes more than just picking a pretty backdrop.
Here’s what we focus on:
Lighting is everything. Even in LA, it’s important to consider how the sun moves, shadows, and reflections.
Permits matter. Some locations need city permits, some require property owner permission, and some are surprisingly tricky. Knowing what to check ahead of time keeps the day stress-free.
The vibe counts. A location might look good in a photo, but it has to feel right for the story we’re telling.
For us, location scouting is part detective work, part intuition, and part experience. The goal is always to make sure that when the team arrives, everything is ready to go, so they can focus on creating.
